EVs charging at Massport
Net Zero by 2031

Electric Vehicle Charging

Massport is committed to providing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to support our operations and those of our tenants and ground transportation providers. This includes installing both direct charge (DC) fast chargers and standard Level 2 (L2) chargers suitable for longer parking periods at Logan Airport and other locations.

Since installing our first EV charging station at Logan Airport in 2012, Massport has significantly expanded EV charging infrastructure to meet current needs. For a map of charging ports at our facilities, visit Chargepoint.com.

  • Logan Airport:
    • 115 landside charging ports, including 67 publicly available L2 ports and 8 DC fast chargers for ride-for-hire services
    • 372 airside charging ports for tenant-owned Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Worcester Regional Airport:
    • 4 publicly available L2 Ports (Upper Parking Lot)
  • Logan Express – Framingham:
    • 4 publicly available L2 Ports (Revenue Lot and Overflow Area)

Expanding EV charging infrastructure reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our vehicle fleet and those of our partners, tenants, and the general public. In the first half of 2024, our landside EV charging saved over 900 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents  (MT CO₂e), surpassing the total GHG emissions saved from EV charging in 2023. The significant increase between 2022 and 2023 was due to Massport investing in its existing infrastructure to maximize utilization.
