About Massport
Our Business
Massport was enabled by the Massachusetts Legislature in 1956 as an independent public authority. Massport is governed by a seven-member Board. Massport owns, operates, and manages Boston Logan International Airport, Worcester Regional Airport, Lawrence G. Hanscom Field, Conley Container Terminal, and Flynn Cruiseport Boston. Massport is financially self-sufficient. It does not receive operating appropriations from the state budget and has no taxing authority. It raises revenues to maintain and improve its facilities through user fees and rentals and issues its own bonds.
