Massport and JetBlue Announce Winners of Education Vacation SweepstakesWORCESTER – The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) yesterday, in collaboration with JetBlue Airways, announced the winners of their Education Vacation Campaign aimed at rewarding educators in Worcester and the surrounding area. Christopher Plucinski-Taylor, an instructor at Worcester Technical High School in Worcester and Dierdra Cahill, a teacher at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton were each presented with two round-trip tickets from JetBlue at their schools yesterday on Teacher Appreciation Day.
“We are thrilled to recognize Christopher and Dierdra during Teacher Appreciation Week and thank them for being such valuable members of the community,” said Worcester Regional Airport Director Andy Davis. “As always, we encourage students, educators and faculty to fly Worcester as an affordable option if they are planning trips during school vacation weeks or any other time in the future.”
“We extend our congratulations to Christopher and Dierdra and we thank them for their service as educators,” said Worcester County Sheriff and Chairman of the Massport Board of Directors Lew Evangelidis. “We are excited to be able to honor these important members of our community and provide them the opportunity to fly Worcester.”
The new promotion was open to educators teaching at accredited elementary, middle and high schools as well as colleges in Worcester and surrounding areas within a 30-mile radius of Worcester Regional Airport.
