Massport, American Airlines Announce Restart of Philadelphia Service at Worcester Regional Airport
Will bring more connections and 5th daily destination from ORH
The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) and American Airlines are pleased to announce a change in service at Worcester Regional Airport (ORH) with a new daily, nonstop flight to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) starting this July. ORH will once again serve five daily destinations on three major airlines, offering passengers even more choice. The new flight will start July 5th and will be available to be booked starting on Monday, 4/21.
This flight replaces American’s daily flight to JFK Airport. New York City will continue to be served on Delta Airline’s daily flight to LaGuardia Airport.
This new service to Philadelphia offers convenient round-trip connections to more destinations, including international flights from American’s trans-Atlantic gateway. These include Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Juan, Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Dublin, Ireland, and Amsterdam among others.
Philadelphia International Airport, the only major airport serving the nation’s 6th largest metropolitan area, is one of American’s largest hubs, with the airline serving more than 19 million passengers in PHL alone annually. This summer, American will offer more than 355 daily departures to more than 120 destinations worldwide from PHL. Located 7 miles from downtown Philadelphia, the airport is easily accessible and convenient to many tourist sites, business centers, and cultural hubs.
