Massport to Host Emergency Exercise at Hanscom Field
The airport will remain open throughout the drill.
BEDFORD – The Massachusetts Port Authority, alongside a number of mutual aid partners, will hold an emergency response exercise on Tuesday, May 7th at Hanscom Field (BED). For the surrounding communities, please be aware that there will be emergency vehicles from various agencies in the vicinity.
This drill will test the coordination, communication and response in the event of a major incident at BED. A number of mutual aid partners will be taking part in the drill alongside Massport Fire Rescue, including the Bedford, Lexington, Concord and Lincoln fire and police departments, State Police, the Hanscom Air Force Base, Armstrong Ambulance and Boston MedFlight, the National Park Service.
The airport will remain open throughout the drill.
