Detour for Terminal B Access Due to Construction
For 1 weekend, passenger vehicles will be re-routed and Logan Express and scheduled buses will pick-up and drop-off at Terminal A
BOSTON – Over the weekend of August 22-23, passenger vehicles heading to Terminal B at Boston Logan International Airport will be detoured to the Arrival (lower) level and through the Terminal B garage. The detour is necessary for the completion of a new vehicle bridge as part of the larger Terminal B to C Roadways project. Due to the construction work, there is a height restriction so regularly scheduled bus service and Logan Express for Terminal B will instead drop passengers off and pick them up at Terminal A. Massport will have extra staff on site to aid passengers with this temporary change. Terminal B serves Air Canada, Alaska, American (except for international arrivals), Boutique, Southwest, Spirit and United airlines.
There will be signage leading up to the affected area, directing vehicles heading to Terminal B to follow the detour. Passengers heading to Terminals A, C or E will follow the normal routes.
Massport’s Terminal B to C Roadways project will revamp the terminal area roadways to eliminate backups and get passengers to and from the terminals faster. New construction will replace aging roadway infrastructure along both levels between the terminals. It will create more curb space at Terminal C, reduce congestion on Logan’s roadways, improve traffic flow and increase traffic safety.
Due to a variety of construction projects happening in and around the airport, there are roadway detours on a regular basis. We ask that passengers driving to and from Logan to be vigilant, pay close attention to signage and plan your travel time accordingly.
