Trucker Policies/Procedures at Conley Terminal

Conley Terminal is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the inbound gate closing at 4:15 PM. Truckers must have an active time-stamped Yard Pass no later than 4:15 PM in order to finalize their transactions.

Access to Conley Terminal requires a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and Massport Maritime Credentials, which can be obtained by presenting a TWIC. Conley Terminal has a “no vest/no entry” policy.

Drivers are required to wear a reflective garment such as a vest, shirt, or jacket while at the terminal. Those noted without the proper personal protective equipment will be escorted off the premises by Port Police.

Text Alerts

Massport’s Conley Terminal is undergoing construction to improve our gate process, rehabilitate the terminal’s surfaces, and expand our footprint. This will allow New England’s largest and only full-service container terminal to enhance our truckers’ experience while on site and welcome our recently announced new services and shipping lines into Boston.

Conley Terminal issues text alerts to customers and truckers in an effort to improve communication during the ongoing construction and changes at the terminal.

Customers and truckers can text CONLEY to 888-777 from their phone to begin receiving text alerts from Massport’s Conley Terminal. Once signed up, customers and truckers will be alerted of changes and traffic impacts at and around the terminal, including:

• Roadwork or traffic-flow changes
• Detours
• Delays in the terminal
• Emergency events that may affect the gate operation or, in rare cases, require terminal evacuation

Massport supports the mobile application Forecast Mobile Lite to provide customers, primarily trucking companies and drivers, access to container availability information in real time on their smartphones before they arrive at the terminal, saving time and avoiding potential issues at the terminal gate.
