Logan Airport Roadway Work Will Temporarily Shift Terminal B Arrivals Level Entrance

Part of a larger project to deconflict Logan’s roadway system

BOSTON – On Saturday, May 18th through Sunday, May 19th, the entrance to the Terminal B Arrivals level roadway at Boston Logan International Airport will be closed to traffic due to construction. Drivers are asked to pay attention to detour signs. Public safety personnel will also be on scene to provide assistance.

Between the hours of 12am on Saturday and 12pm on Sunday, drivers in private vehicles who are picking up passengers at Terminal B will be detoured through Terminal A Arrivals level. Drivers may also use the Terminal B Departures level for pickups.

Passengers looking to park, as well as limo, taxi, and TNC drivers heading to the Terminal B pick up lot, will still be able to go through the temporary garage entrance at Terminal B.

This temporary closure is part of a larger project to redesign Logan’s roadway system, which is currently congested between Terminals A and C during peak hours of operation. Terminal C serves Logan’s busiest carrier JetBlue, and Terminal B serves the airport’s third busiest carrier American Airlines.

Logan’s current roadway system was last updated in the early 2000s. The capital infrastructure project will create separate roads for both Terminal B and C, so that traffic from C does not back into other traffic.
