Getting to and from Logan Airport by water shuttle or water taxi is convenient and enjoyable. Year-round scheduled and on-call vessels serving the Logan dock provide direct connections to downtown Boston and other popular waterfront destinations in Boston Inner Harbor and Quincy and Hull on the South Shore. Enjoy fantastic views of Boston Harbor and the city from a climate-controlled waiting area. The Massport Route 66 Bus provides free shuttle service between the Logan dock and all Airport terminals. The following passenger water transportation services operate at Logan Airport:

Water Shuttles
MBTA Harbor Express Shuttle Boat
Continuous scheduled water transportation service to/from Logan Airport and Downtown Boston (Long Wharf), Quincy and Hull.

Water Taxis
Three water taxi businesses operate at the Boston Logan Airport dock with more than a dozen vessels between them. Water taxis function like land taxis – passengers can board a water taxi waiting at the dock or call ahead for a reservation. If no water taxi is present, they can be called using one of the call boxes at the top of the gangway or by telephone. Hours of operation, rates, and contact information for each water taxi service is listed below.

Courtesy Bus Service Between Logan Dock and All Airport Terminals

Massport shuttle bus #66 makes continuous regular trips between the Logan dock, airport terminals, and the MBTA Blue Line station during regular water taxi and water shuttle operating hours. The ride between the terminals and the Logan dock takes approximately 12 minutes.

Passengers headed toward Boston should board the water transportation (#66) bus at the curb outside of the arrivals area at each airport terminal. Those seeking to ride a water taxi should ask the bus driver to call ahead to alert the vessels that passengers are en route to the dock. Once at the dock, passengers should proceed to the top of the gangway and get instructions from vessel captains before boarding.

Passengers flying from Logan should proceed up the gangway upon arrival at the Logan dock and board the #66 bus under the pavilion canopy. An audio recording on the bus will provide information on airline locations in the various airport terminals.
