Aircraft Stage III Type

Massport closely monitors aircraft fleet characteristics as part of the Authoritybs overall environmental management program. Of particular interest within the context of noise abatement is the percentage of Loganbs fleet that is Stage 3 compliant. Stage 3 aircraft can be dramatically quieter than Stage 3 recertified engines.

In 2001, Massport began to report the percentage of airline operations in full Stage 3 aircraft. The 2005 summary is provided below.
