Fear of Flying

Many people are uncomfortable with air travel. Some have never flown, others have clocked thousands of air travel miles and are suddenly anxious. Some fly in quiet terror and others have stopped flying altogether. It is difficult to confront this problem but it is also difficult to ignore it.

There are programs, like "Open Skies" (617) 491-1296, that give you the opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings about flying and join with others who will support your motivation for change. The programs include:
  • information about fear, anxiety, panic and phobias
  • relaxation and breathing techniques
  • cognitive restructuring
  • information about aviation and air travel
  • visualization techniques
  • optional flight
Using new information, new skills and strategies for breaking the anxiety cycle, you can become a more relaxed flyer! The group programs limit enrollment to maintain a small, intimate group size.

In order to sign up for a program, please contact "Open Skies" or your preferred airline. Contact information can be found on the Airlines page.
