On Friday, September 9, 2011, Massport and the Logan Airport community recognized the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with a remembrance ceremony at the Airport 9/11 Memorial.
Mrs. Victoria Reggie Kennedy, wife of the late Senator Edward Kennedy, was the guest speaker at the ceremony. In the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, there were three individuals in particular who brushed aside any reluctance about being associated with the airport and though

t only about the people here: Cardinal Bernard Law, Senator John Kerry, and the late Senator Edward Kennedy. The Logan Airport community will forever be grateful for the compassion and concern shown by these three individuals who were here when we needed them most and we were honored to have Mrs. Vicki Kennedy here with us on the tenth anniversary.
