Massport Proposes Amendment to Boston Logan’s Passenger Facility Charge Program

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is applying to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for authority to use the amount of passenger facility charges (PFCs) collected from certain enplaning passengers at Boston Logan Airport International Airport in order to pay for certain specified airfield and terminal projects at Logan.

In accordance with FAA regulations, Massport’s Airline PFC Consultation Booklet dated October 15, 2009 regarding Massport’s intent to file an application with the FAA to increase the impose and use amounts at Logan, is available online for review and public comment. Massport’s Airline Consultation Meeting Presentation made to air carriers operating at Boston Logan on October 15, 2009 is also available. Members of the public are encouraged to submit comments concerning Massport’s proposed PFC application via e-mail to Betsy Taylor or by postal mail to:
