L. Duane Jackson
L. Duane Jackson is a Managing Member of Alinea Capital Partners, LLC, a real estate development and investment company specializing in urban and emerging markets in the Northeast.
Jackson, an architect, was previously President & CEO of Urban Investment Associates, Inc. (UIAI), a real estate development firm based in Boston focused onsecondary and emerging markets whose projects included both market-rate and affordable developments.
As former Managing Partner of Migliassi/Jackson & Associates, Inc., Architects/Planners, Jackson was involved in the design and construction of over $800 million in affordable, therapeutic, special needs and equity housing throughout Boston and Massachusetts. Jackson is well-versed in community based initiatives and his ability to translate community needs into practical and feasible solutions is extensive. Jackson has represented numerous tenant groups, providing technical advice for over 1,500 public housing and affordable units in the City of Boston.
Jackson is a graduate of Hampton Institute (University). He received his Master of City Planning and Master of Architecture degrees from MIT. Jackson was also a Loeb Fellow at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and is a founding board member of the Mass Mentoring Partnership, a statewide organization providing research, technical and financial assistance, policy and political advocacy for organizations which promote youth mentoring.
